1:25 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Stewart R. Weldon, 38, of 112 E. Main St., arrested on charges of operating motor vehicle with suspended license subsequent offense, not having inspection sticker, speeding in violation of special regulation and possessing an open container of alcohol in motor vehicle;
3:29 a.m.: assault, Noble Hospital Emergency Room, patient stated that as he was being escorted out of the Maple Leaf Inn by a bouncer who struck him several times;
10:09 a.m.: accident, 93 Main St., 2005 Chrysler struck by a vehicle that fled the scene, witness got license plate for offending vehicle, suspect vehicle located and towed;
2:05 p.m.: found property, Westfield Police Department, 15 Washington St., Canadian driver’s license found inside headquarters;
3:04 p.m.: burglary/breaking & entering, Spring Street, resident reported his vehicle was broken into overnight and items were stolen from inside the vehicle;
4:50 p.m.: shoplifting, Big Y, 475 E. Main St., loss prevention notified police of a shoplifter in custody;
6:28 p.m.: accident, 34-38 N. Elm St., 2007 Mazda and 1997 Honda, no injuries, no tows;
9:15 p.m.: parking violation, Colonial Pine Acres, 50 Southampton Road, three vehicles towed from rear of complex;
11:40 p.m.: college-related disturbance, 33 Orange St., ordinance violation issued.
