WESTFIELD

7:58 a.m.: accident, Southampton Road, a caller reports that she was in a three motor vehicle accident with airbag deployment but no apparent injuries, the responding officer reports that two tow trucks were requested to remove two of the vehicles from the scene, the responding ambulance reports that one person refused medical attention;

1:11 p.m.: accident, East Main Street, a caller reports that her mother was involved in a motor vehicle accident and may be injured, the responding ambulance reports that one person was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital, the responding officer filed an incident report;

5:33 p.m.: traffic complaint, a caller reports that two male parties were trying to cross the road when they suddenly stopped in the middle of the road causing a traffic hazard, the caller reports that he honked his horn to try to get the male parties out of the way when one of them punched his vehicle, the responding officer reports that an area search turned up negative;

8:21 p.m.: directed patrol, Pleasant Street, a patrol officer reports that he pulled over a vehicle for operating with a suspended license when he discovered that the occupants were in possession of a Class B drug, the officer reports that Robert Marcaus, 34, of 33 Woodmont St., Westfield was placed under arrest for possession of a Class B drug, operating a motor vehicle with a license that was previously suspended due to operating under the influence, and failure to stop or yield, the officer reports that Matthew Jean Vannase was also placed under arrest for possession of a Class B drug.

SOUTHWICK

7:43 a.m.: officer wanted, Babb Road, a resident reports a damaged mailbox;

8:25 a.m.: suspicious vehicle, Tobacco Road, a caller reports a vehicle parked near her house for 45 minutes with one person inside, a responding officer reports the person is a private investigator and advised them to register with the Southwick Police for future assignments in town.
