5:59 a.m.: accident, Shaker Road, a caller reports that a motor vehicle flipped on its roof, causing airbag deployment, the responding medics report that one person refused medical attention, the officer reports that one tow truck was requested to remove the vehicle from the scene;
1:17 p.m.: animal complaint, Medeiros Way, an animal control officer reports that she set up a trap for a loose beagle type dog that had been running around in the area, the ACO reports that the beagle was captured and transported to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter;
6:59 p.m.: warrant service, White Street, police officers report that they will be attempting to serve an arrest warrant, the officers report that Johnny DeWayne Smith, 38, of 93 White St., Westfield was placed under arrest for being a fugitive from justice on a court warrant from Louisiana;
7:58 p.m.: accident, White Street, a caller reports a single motor vehicle rollover accident with entrapment, the responding medics report that one person was transported to Baystate Medical Center, the responding officer reports that one tow truck was requested to remove the vehicle from the scene.

10:03 a.m.: animal complaint, Mort Vining Road, a resident reports a dog bite;
12:06 p.m.: fire investigation, Tannery Road, the fire department responded to a call for the smell of smoke in the area, responders report no fire and advised that other communities are investigating the same reports and findings and the smoke is attributed to the west coast fires;
3:29 p.m.: recreational violations, Lakeview Street, a citizen complained of the neighbor’s children driving quads on the road;
4:23 p.m.: fire, Cottage Street, a resident was advised of rules for firepits.
