Major crime and incident report

9:55 a.m.: animal complaint, St Paul Street, a caller reports that there is a possibly injured brown tabby cat that has been on her front doorstep for the past two days, the responding animal control officer reports that she brought the cat to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter;
2:24 p.m.: accident, Union Street, a caller reports a two motor vehicle accident with no apparent injuries, the responding officer reports that two tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the scene.
7:02 a.m.: general services, North Lake Avenue, an officer was informed of a vehicle blocking the roadway; the owner was contacted and informed the officer the vehicle was being removed by a recycling company;
10:07 a.m.: accident, College Highway, a vehicle struck a donut shop, damaging the freezer of the business, no injuries were reported, Eversource and the building and health inspectors were on scene;
3:24 p.m.: unwanted guest, Point Grove Road, a resident called 911 stating a person was trying to gain entry into the home, an officer learned the person was an acquaintance who became an unwanted guest;
4:11 p.m.: accident, Feeding Hills Road, a motorist rear-ended another vehicle and one driver had neck pain, EMS responded to the scene.
