8:39 a.m.: weather complaint, Ampad Road, a patrol officer reports two birch trees have fallen in the roadway, the officer reports he was able to move each tree partially out of the travel lane, the DPW dispatcher was notified;
9:14 a.m.: assist other agency, Baystate Noble Hospital Emergency Department, a caller from the hospital reports a patient has eloped and is walking on Mill Street, the responding officer reports the man was found and returned to the hospital without incident;
2:15 p.m.: parking violation, Springfield Road, a Community Service Unit officer reports he observed two persons loading shopping bags onto a vehicle displaying a valid handicap placard which was parked in a handicap space and asked who the placard belonged to, the officer reports one of the parties said that the placard belonged to a person who was not there, a citation was issued and the placard was seized;
6:13 p.m.: animal complaint, Crown Street, a caller reports taking custody of a stray golden retriever dog, the responding officer reports the dog is wearing a rabies tag issued by a West Springfield veterinary hospital, a message was left at the veterinary hospital and the dog was transported to the municipal animal shelter;
8:20 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Southampton Road at North Road, an officer reports a traffic stop, a passenger was issued a city ordinance violation citation for possession of an open container of marijuana.
