7:58 a.m.: larceny, Southampton Road, a caller reports a sewer grate was stolen from a parking lot, the responding officer reports a person who apparently stole the grate for its scrap metal value was identified, a criminal complaint was filed;
12:06 p.m.: fraud, Springfield Road, a caller from a Springfield Road department store reports possible gift card fraud, the responding officer reports that although a customer used several high denomination gift cards issued by multiple vendors to purchase merchandise no crime occurred and there is no evidence that the cards were fraudulently obtained;
2:20 p.m.: school violence, Westfield Middle School, 30 W. Silver Street, the school principal reports that a non-student came to the school and initiated a fight with a student, the responding officer reports the combatants had been separated prior to his arrival and both youths were transported to their homes where their parents were advised, the school resource officer was advised to follow up on the incident.
