Monday, Sept. 17, 2018
1:55 p.m.: found property, Main Street, a supermarket manager surrendered two wallets which had been held at the store as found property for several months, the responding officer reports he was unable to contact the owner of either wallet and both were stored for safe keeping;
5:40 p.m.: larceny, Mechanic Street, a resident came to the station to report the theft of her bicycle, the responding officer reports an unlocked bicycle was stolen from an unlocked enclosed porch;
9:12. p.m.: fraud, Southwood Acres, 342 Southwick Road, a resident came to the station to report that he was the victim of a telephone scam, the responding officer reports the victim said that he was convinced to send a caller $6,000 which he transmitted to the con man by way of WalMart gift cards.
