Major crime and incident report

10:32 a.m.: Identity fraud, walk-in. Police received a report of identity fraud involving a resident. According to police, the resident befriended someone they met online and accounts were opened in their name, resulting in approximately $3,200 in losses.
11:21 a.m.: Vandalism, Holy Trinity Church, Elm Street. Police received a report of a sign that was destroyed sometime overnight at the church. There were no suspects or arrests at the time of the report and the damage has an unknown cost.
1:44 p.m.: Accident, South Maple Street. A two-vehicle collision involving 2000 Neon and an unknown style truck happened on South Maple Street. While the drivers were exchanging information, the truck was reportedly left in reverse in a parking lot and rolled out of the parking lot, across the street and into a fence. The driver then left after information was exchanged.
2:21 p.m.: Accident, Washington Street. Police received a report of a two-vehicle collision involving a 2003 Pontiac Bonneville and a 2011 Ford E250 that resulted in one injury. Police reported that one of the operators of the vehicles had struck the steering wheel during the collision, causing shoulder and chest pain. Westfield Fire paramedics responded, treated the injured party and transported them to Baystate Noble Hospital. No other injuries were reported.
6:44 p.m.: Larceny, Southampton Road. Police received a report of larceny at a restaurant possibly involving an employee. According to the employee there was $600 stolen from them at the restaurant. Police said that the employee named a suspect but no ties to the crime have been confirmed.
