3:21 p.m.: Accident, Atwater Street. Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a 1998 Honda Accord and a telephone pole. According to police, the driver of the car struck the pole for “no apparent reason.” There were no injuries reported and the police also informed Verizon–who maintain the poles–there was just minor scuff damage to the pole.

4:18 p.m.: Warrant service and arrest, McKinley Terrace. Police arrested Charles A. Travers, 60, of Westfield, on a warrant that requested such action. According to police reports, the Tolland Police Chief, in relation to this incident, allegedly received a threatening text that may have come from Travers. However, police were unable to confirm this.

5:16 p.m.: Larceny, Westfield Police station. A car that was located at the Westfield Police station reportedly had the license plates on it stolen. Police at the time had no suspects.
