1:50 a.m.: Well-being check, East Main Street. Police received a request for a well-being check on a female that was parked in a parking lot with her vehicle running, but she was reportedly sleeping. The caller attempted to talk to the female but it was reported that she wasn’t making much sense. Police arrived and talked to the female, Ashley M. Frazier, 29, of Westfield, and decided to put her through a field sobriety test. According to police, Frazier failed the field sobriety test and was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor.

10:06 a.m.: Identity fraud, Gary Drive. Police received a report of a possible fraud involving a resident’s eBay account. According to the resident, their eBay account was used to purchase items that were not OKed by them. Police had no further information.

3:03 p.m.: Assault, Lewis Street. Police received a report of several teenage males who reportedly pushed and punched a resident’s daughter. The resident started to chase the teenagers and an additional caller reported the chase going on down Bartlett Street. Police found the group and investigated the incident. Police reported that after police intervention there were no parties who wanted to press charges.

6:59 p.m.: Motor vehicle violation and arrest, Madison Street. Police stopped a vehicle after noticing that the inspection sticker was expired. Once police ran the driver’s information it was found that Andrew T. Chase, 33, of Westfield, had a suspended driver’s license, as well. Chase was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, an unregistered motor vehicle and no inspection/sticker.

10:44 p.m.: Motor vehicle violation and arrest, West Silver Street. Police stopped a vehicle after finding that it was speeding. After police stopped the vehicle, they suspected that the driver, Alexander M. Turner, 44, of Westfield, was possibly operating under the influence of alcohol. Turner failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. While in the cell block area after being arrested, Turner reportedly kicked a police officer, which resulted in an additional charge. Police charged Turner with negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating under the influence of liquor, speeding in violation of special regulation and assault and battery on a police officer.
