12:29 a.m.: Disturbance and arrest, Church Street. Police initially stopped a vehicle for being operated erratically. After talking to the driver, the driver reportedly became enraged and started to punch the car. Police, after attempting to calm Charles D Leduc, III, 22, of Westfield, proceeded to arrest him when they could not. Police charged Leduc with disorderly conduct.
1:48 a.m.: Motor vehicle violation and arrest, Elm Street and School Street. Police initially stopped a vehicle that was being operated erratically, including suddenly stopping well beyond the stop line at a traffic light. Police talked to Ryan M. Flick, 22, of Westfield, and suspected alcohol to be a factor. Flick was given field sobriety tests and failed, and police arrested Flick and charged him with operating under the influence of liquor and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
4:59 p.m.: Vandalism, motor vehicle, Sackett Street. Police received a report of a motor vehicle that was possibly vandalized. According to a neighbor where the vehicle was, the window was smashed and police were told that someone earlier in the day yelled about breaking something, but there were no reports related to that initial disturbance. No other information was available.
6:34 p.m.: Accident, Great River Bridge. Police received a report from multiple callers of a Jeep Cherokee that was facing the wrong way on Union Avenue on the Great River Bridge. Police reported that the driver had attempted to merge and somehow lost control of their vehicle and struck a pole. No injuries or other vehicles were involved.
