1:37 a.m.: disturbance, Arnold Street, a patrol officer reports that he had been driving when he was flagged down by two individuals from an Arnold Street bar claiming there was a large altercation happening, the officer reports that when he approached the bar, he witnessed a male party punching another male party in the face and head repeatedly, the officer reports that he arrested Nickolas Malo, 22, of 4 Gunn Road Extension, Southampton, for assault and battery and disorderly conduct, the officer reports that he also arrested Joshua R. Brown, 20, of 94 Gillette Avenue, Springfield, for disorderly conduct, the officer reports that an ambulance was called because at one point during the altercation pepper spray was deployed and a female party was unintentionally affected by it; See related story in The Westfield News of February 20.

1:56 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Conner Avenue, a patrol officer reports that a grey sedan had passed him going at approximately 100 miles per hour, almost striking his vehicle, the officer reports that the sedan turned down Conner Avenue before shutting off its lights, the officer reports that the vehicle had been pulled over and the driver, Christopher Roman, 22, of 12 Conner Avenue, was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, a motor vehicle lights violation, and speeding;

6:30 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, North Road, a patrol officer reports that they pulled over a vehicle for speeding, the officer reports that the vehicle operator, Victor M. Rosado, 35, of 39 Maynard Street, Springfield, was placed under arrest for a subsequent offense of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and speeding;

11:33 p.m.: shoplifting, Springfield Road, a caller from a Springfield Road department store reports that two individuals shoplifted a radio from the store and ran into the parking lot where a four door sedan was waiting, the caller reports that the male party with the radio was picked up by the vehicle and took off in an unknown direction while the female party fled to East Mountain Road, the responding officer reports that Springfield police have been notified of the situation, as it is believed that the suspects were headed to Springfield.
