Major crime and incident report

3:45 p.m.: animal complaint, Highland Avenue, a person came to the shelter to surrender a small intact red and white dog reportedly found walking freely in the Highland Avenue neighborhood;
10:04 a.m.: larceny Orange Street, a caller reports a bag of groceries was stolen from her home while she was in the shower, the responding officer reports the caller said that her house had been locked while she was in the shower and her 14-year-old daughter was in her room when the bag was stolen, the officer reports there are no signs of forcible entry and the complainant said she believes the intruder must have been inside when she returned to her home, ann incident report was filed.
10:45 a.m.: recovered property on Sunnyside Road, a purse was found.
2:04 p.m.: assist motorist, Feeding Hills Road, police assisted a motorist with spilled pellets on the roadway.
5:34 p.m.: found property, Feeding Hills Road, a credit card found on the track was returned to its owner.
8:31 p.m.: assist citizen, Ahrend Circle, a caller reports smoke from a neighbor’s apartment spilling into the hallway, management and the Board of Health were notified.
8:38 p.m.: erratic operator, College Highway, a caller reports an erratic vehicle driving from Granby, Conn. To Southwick, an officer reports no impairment.
8:58 p.m.: officers investigated a report of two males offering soft drinks to two females at a College Highway fast-food restaurant, the males said they were given “extra drinks” and offered them to the girls who suspected the males were trying to “drug” them, responding officers determined it was a misunderstanding.
