Westfield
9:27 a.m.: private fire alarm, Fowler Street Extension, a caller reports that she can hear an audible alarm on Fowler Street Extension, the responding officer reports that the alarm is coming from a business in the area and water was observed flowing out of a pipe on the side of the building, dispatch reports that firefighters responded to the scene, the responding fire captain reports that the alarm was silenced and the water issue was resolved;
10:26 a.m.: animal complaint, Old Park Lane, a caller reports that he found a large male pitbull/hound type dog loose with a leash and collar but no tags, the responding animal control officer reports that she responded to retrieve the dog;
11:36 a.m.: animal complaint, Forest Avenue, a caller reports that there is a deceased cat in the roadway outside her home, the responding animal control officer reports that the remains of the female siamese cat were brought to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter;
1:00 p.m.: motor vehicle breaking and entering, Perkins Street, a male party reports that his motor vehicle was broken into sometime overnight, the responding officer filed an incident report;
1:55 p.m.: animal complaint, Monroe Street, a caller reports that there is a loose yorkie type dog in the area, the responding animal control officer reports that the dog could not be located;
2:21 p.m.: assault, Southampton Road, a caller reports that her neighbor threw a piece of plywood at her while she was walking her dog, the responding officer filed an incident report;
6:11 p.m.: accident, Eastwood Drive, a caller reports a two motor vehicle accident with possible injuries, the responding medics report that one person refused medical attention, the responding officer reports that two tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the scene, the officer reports that one of the vehicle operators was issued a citation for improper turning at an intersection;
9:51 p.m.: motor vehicle complaint, Colfax Street, a caller reports that a vehicle is performing donuts in a parking lot, the responding officer reports that the vehicle left prior to their arrival;
11:55 p.m.: downed lines, May Street, a caller reports that there is a tree that went down into the middle of the road and took wires down with it, the responding officer reports that the wires were down in large puddles of water, the officer reports that the utility pole was broken as well, dispatch reports that Westfield Gas & Electric was unable to set the pole right away, so they removed the broken pole and hung the wires on the tree until a new pole could be set.

8:29 a.m.: animal complaint, Berkshire Avenue, a resident reports a bear in the area;
9:57 p.m.: officer wanted, South Loomis Street, officers investigated a report of a 209A violation at a campground.
