Westfield

6:21 a.m.:  animal complaint, Root Road, a caller reports that there are two horses running in the middle of the road, the responding officer reports that the owner of the horses was identified but they were unable to locate them to corral them;

6:55 p.m.: animal complaint, Root Road, a caller reports two horses in a field near Medeiros Way, the responding officer reports that the owners arrived to the field with horse feed and were able to successfully corral them back to their property;

7:09 p.m.: unwanted guest, Main Street, a caller from a Main Street store reports that two youths are inside the store causing a disturbance and throwing items around the store, the caller reports that the youths were told to leave but they keep trying to sneak back in, the responding officer reports that the youths were gone upon his arrival.

 

Southwick

12:12 p.m.: watercraft violation, Middle Pond, a party wishing to be anonymous reports a boat moored illegally with an improper engine, police made contact with the owner who reported mechanical issues and fixed the problem;

4:27 p.m.: boat violation, Middle Pond, a verbal warning was issued for an unregistered vessel;

4:29 p.m.: boat violation, Middle Pond, a verbal warning was issued for channel violation;

5:15 p.m.: boat violation, a verbal warning was issued for an unregistered boat and exhaust violation;

8:53 p.m.: watercraft violation, Middle Pond, kayakers without a light were escorted to shore.
