Major crime and incident report

8:55 a.m.: accident, Allen Avenue, multiple callers report a rollover accident, the responding officer reports that a utility pole and wires were brought down in the accident, one responding ambulance reports that one person was transported to Baystate Medical Center, a second ambulance reports an additional person was transported to Baystate Medical Center with a relative riding along, another responding officer reports that a tow truck was requested to remove the vehicle from the scene and Westfield Gas & Electric was requested to repair the damaged pole and wires;
11:27 a.m.: animal complaint, Court Street, a caller reports that they are bringing a white and tabby female cat to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter, the caller reports that she had seen the cat outside her home earlier in the week and that a friend of hers captured the cat on Court Street near Bates Street and was able to bring it to her to be cared for overnight;
7:35 p.m.: fireworks, Union Street, a caller reports that an unknown adult party had set off fireworks in the yard between two apartment buildings, the responding officer reports that there were no fireworks actively being set off but that the remnants of recently ignited fireworks were found, the officer reports that nobody in the area knew who set them off;
9:07 p.m.: accident, North Elm Street, a caller reports that a vehicle flipped over on its side and slid across four lanes of traffic, an additional caller reports that all parties were able to get out of the vehicle, the responding officer reports that a tow truck was requested to remove the vehicle from the scene, the responding ambulance reports that all parties refused medical attention;
10:35 p.m.: animal complaint, Franklin Street, a firefighter reports that a loose dog was located on Franklin Street, the responding officer reports that the dog’s owner could not be located but it is believed to belong to a Franklin Street resident, the officer reports that the dog was brought to the Westfield Police Headquarters.
8:54 a.m.: motor vehicle complaint, Feeding Hills Road, a motorist resports a large black truck passed her at a red light and continued driving, an officer observed a truck fitting the description and inquired about the complaint but the driver said it was not him;
2:26 p.m.: water craft violation, a jet ski did not have the proper life jacket;
4:49 p.m.: water craft violation, Southw Pond, a wake violation was observed;
6:11 p.m.: suspicious vehicle, Lakeview Street, a person was seen taking items from a house under construction, police report scrap was being removed;
7:02 p.m.: water craft violation, Middle Pond, speed violation observed;9:57 p.m.: suspicious activity at Southwick Regional School, youths in golf carts were driving on the property and left the area.
