WESTFIELD

1:19 a.m.: disturbance, Elm Street, patrol officers report that they are at an Elm Street gas station in the aftermath of an altercation between parties, the officers report that an ambulance was requested to evaluate one party who was struck and fell to the ground, the responding ambulance reports that one person refused medical attention;

6:31 a.m.: accident, Russell Road, a caller reports a single vehicle accident caused by a large pothole, the responding officer reports that one tow truck was requested to remove the vehicle from the scene, the officer reports that the Department of Public Works was notified of the pothole;

10:21 a.m.: animal complaint, Prospect Street Extension, a caller reports that there are several loose cows in the road, the responding animal control officer reports that the owner of the cows is assisting in herding them back onto their property, the animal control officer reports that all five cows were safely returned to the property;

1:35 p.m.: disturbance, Miller Street, a caller reports that there is a large college party with 60 to 100 people in attendance, the responding officer reports that the 75 people at the party far exceeded the state’s COVID-19 gathering limits, the officer reports that attendees were walking through neighbor’s yards and being antagonistic towards neighbors who ask them to remain off their property, the officer reports that approximately ¾ of the party was sent away and subsequently caused a traffic hazard when they walked through the street, a police lieutenant reports that the owner of the property was contacted and would be responding to address the party;

 

2:03 p.m.: burglary, Franklin Street, a caller reports that someone appears to have broken into a cooking oil vat at their restaurant and taken an undetermined amount of cooking oil, dispatch reports that no formal report was requested;

3:25 p.m.: vehicle fire, Reservoir Avenue, multiple callers report a vehicle on fire, the responding firefighters report that the fire was put out, the responding officer reports that a tow truck and clean up crew was requested;

5:20 p.m.: traffic complaint, Franklin Street, a caller reports that another vehicle tried deliberately ramming into his car as he tried to pass them, the responding officer reports that neither the caller or the operator of the other vehicle exchanged words when they parked in a Franklin Street parking lot and that both parties left the area soon after;

6:44 p.m.: accident, Western Avenue, a caller from a Western Avenue park reports that a vehicle struck a beam at the entrance of the park and is now stuck, the responding officer reports that a tow truck was requested to remove the vehicle from the park entrance;

10:19 p.m.: disturbance, Southampton Road, a caller from a Southampton Road hotel reports that a guest has been destructive and disruptive for the past few nights, the responding officer reports that Quintin Paul St. Julien, 38, of 19430 Colonie Trail Ln., Katy, Texas was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct;

10:39 p.m.: disturbance, Bush Street, a caller reports that their neighbors have been having a large college party with close to 100 people all day but that it has since dwindled to about 50 people, the caller reports that the party spilled into the street at times, the responding officer reports that the majority of partygoers had already left by his arrival and that those who remained were advised of the repercussions if he had to return that night.

SOUTHWICK

1:54 p.m.: officer wanted, College Highway, a resident reports items were stolen from a basement storage unit at an apartment complex;

7:05 p.m.: officer wanted, Graunado Circle, a resident reports that grass was put in the mailbox and this has happened previously, no damage was reported to the mailbox or other property;

7:16 p.m.: restraining order, Bugbee Road, a restraining order was served in-hand.
