WESTFIELD

2:56 a.m.: accident, East Main Street, a patrol officer reports that he is out with a vehicle that appears to have struck a drive thru booth at an East Main Street fast food establishment, the officer reports that the vehicle’s operator appears to be asleep, the responding police detective reports that an ambulance and tow truck were requested, the responding ambulance reports that one person was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital;

4:08 a.m.: vandalism/damage, Belvedere Garden, a caller reports that she recorded video of two individuals throwing objects at the windows of her location before fleeing separately on a bike and in a car, the responding officer reports that there was damage to the window, the officer filed an incident report;

11:05 a.m.: accident, North Elm Street, a caller reports that they were involved in a two motor vehicle accident with a possible injury but no airbag deployment, the responding ambulance reports that one person was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital, the responding officer filed an incident report;

11:18 a.m.: accident, Union Street, a caller reports that he was just involved in a motor vehicle accident with airbag deployment and possible injuries, the responding fire captain reports that two ambulances were requested to transport two people to Baystate Noble Hospital, the responding officer reports that two tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the scene;

1:47 p.m.: bicycle accident, East Mountain Road, multiple callers report that a motor vehicle struck a bicyclist before fleeing the scene, the responding fire captain reports that the suspect vehicle had damage to its windshield, the responding ambulance reports that one person was transported to the hospital, dispatch reports that all officers were advised to be on the lookout for the suspect vehicle, dispatch reports that officers located the suspect vehicle, a police captain reports that the operator was not arrested but would be charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, a passing violation, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a vehicle with no inspection sticker, and operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration, the captain reports that the bicyclist survived the incident;

2:07 p.m.: vandalism/damage, Chestnut Street, a caller reports that someone attempted to break into her vehicle and smashed one of the windows, the responding officer filed an incident report;

3:21 p.m.: animal complaint, Heritage Lane, a caller reports that she found a young black and white cat in her yard, the responding animal control officer reports that the cat was brought to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter.

SOUTHWICK

12:08 p.m.: animal complaint, Island Pond Road, a resident reports a bear in the backyard and a man chasing the bear on foot;

6:55 p.m.: assist other agency, Grove Street, a possible water main break was reported;
