Westfield
7:45 a.m.: hit-and-run accident, Mill Street, an off-duty police officer reported a motor vehicle striking a utility pole and guardrail, leaving a bumper with license plate attached, report taken;
8:47 a.m.: abnormal behavior, Franklin Street, a caller requests a well-being check on a person outdoors, not dressed for the weather, and behaving erratically, the responding officer found the person hiding inside a kitchen cabinet and “obviously under the influence of some sort of drug,” and called for an ambulance, officers also found an active warrant for the person, Andrea Marie Criscio, 32, of 101 Franklin St., Second Floor, Rear, Westfield, who was arrested on a warrant, officers also requested the animal control officer to take custody of Criscio’s cat;
11:50 a.m.: shoplifting, Springfield Road, a business reports catching a woman stealing about $50 worth of food, and possibly under the influence of a drug, officers found the woman having trouble breathing and called for an ambulance, the shop declined to prosecute the shoplifting.

3:28 p.m.: neighbor complaint, South Longyard Road, a resident is observe blowing leaves into the roadway, responding officer issued a verbal warning;
6:07 p.m.: motor vehicle accident, College Highway, officers investigated a two-vehicle collision;
7:17 p.m.: suspicious person, North Pond Road, responding officer found a man hitchhiking in dark clothing, man was transported to the hospital;
8:29 p.m.: animal complaint, Depot Street, caller complains of barking dogs all day long, responding officer initially finds no answer at the door, family member later asked to notify dogs’ owner;
9:24 p.m.: drug overdose, College Highway, two doses of Narcan administered, ambulance took patient to hospital;
11:07 p.m.: suspicious vehicle, College Highway, responding officer finds owner of vehicle was “answering call of nature.”
