WESTFIELD

9:57 a.m.: code enforcement, Springfield Road, a detail officer reports that a male party attempted to enter a Springfield Road department store without a face covering in violation of recent COVID-19 guidelines, the officer reports that the male party put on the mask before subsequently removing it when he entered the store, the officer reports that the male party claimed to have a medical exemption but did not have the required paperwork to prove it, the officer reports that the male party was advised to have the proper paperwork if he is going to enter places without a mask;

11:13 a.m.: code enforcement, Springfield Road, a detail officer reports that a male party attempted to enter a Springfield Road department store without a face covering in violation of recent COVID-19 guidelines, the officer reports that the male party became argumentative almost to the point of being disorderly, the officer reports that he advised the male party of the current guidelines before the male party left the scene in a vehicle;

9:21 p.m.: vandalism, St. Paul Street, a caller reports that are four male parties going around in a vehicle and smashing pumpkins left on people’s doorsteps, the officer reports that at least one smashed pumpkin was located but the individuals responsible could not be found;

11:03 p.m.: motor vehicle accident, multiple callers report that a single motor-vehicle struck a telephone pole which caused downed wires, airbag deployment, and leaking fluids from the vehicle, the responding officer reports a tow truck was requested for the vehicle and one individual was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital, the officer reports that Westfield Gas & Electric was notified about the downed wires.

 

SOUTHWICK

10:46 a.m.: officer wanted, Crystal Drive, a caller reports a fraudulent unemployment claim;

11:05 a.m.: loose dog, Feeding Hills Road, a caller reports a border collie is roaming the area, officers were unable to locate the dog;

11:13 a.m.: fire, Summer Drive, branches being burned at a residence, the fire was extinguished and the homeowner advised;

1:30 p.m.: traffic stop, College Highway, a moped was stopped for having a minor passenger;

4:09 p.m.: fire, Birchwood Road, multiple homeowners having fires in the yard;

10:19 p.m.: gathering, Cedar Street, officers responded to a call regarding a loud gathering, officers restored peace.
