Westfield
10:03 a.m.: animal complaint, George Street, a caller reports that they would be bringing a cat that they had trapped to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter;
7:05 p.m.: college related disturbance, Lincoln Street, a caller reports that there is a large party happening outside and she believes she heard a girl scream for help, the responding officer reports that he observed a party with approximately 40 people with drinking games taking place out in the open and loud music, the officer reports that all guests were made the leave and five renters were given citations for a noise complaint;
8:12 p.m.: structure fire, Otter Point Road, a caller reports that there is a fire in her basement and the house is filling with smoke, the responding fire chief reports that the fire was put out shortly after their arrival, the fire chief reports that the house was vented for smoke;
8:52 p.m.: hit-and-run accident, Washington Street, multiple callers report a vehicle struck the porch of a residence before all of the vehicle occupants fled the scene on foot, the responding officer reports that he had attempted to stop a vehicle matching the description before it shut its lights off and fled just before the call came in, another officer reports that an employee from a nearby bar informed him that a male party with a head wound came in and was asking for help, the officer reports that a male party fled the scene again when officers arrived, a caller from a GPS tracking company reports that one suspect may have tampered with a GPS ankle bracelet the suspect was wearing after the crash, the officers report that a search of the area where the ankle bracelet is believed to have been cut turned up negative.
