WESTFIELD
11:46 p.m.: motor vehicle accident, East Mountain road, an off-duty police officer reports that a stop sign at an intersection has been broken off at its base and is sitting in the road, the off-duty officer reports that he pulled it off to the side of the road, the responding officer reports that DPW was informed and a temporary stop sign was put up;
11:51 p.m.: vandalism/damage, North Elm Street, a caller reports that a vehicle was leaving a parking lot when it did donuts, causing debris to fly up and break the window of a North Elm Street restaurant, the responding officer reports that they made contact with the operator of the suspected vehicle who said he was not at the restaurant earlier before handing up on dispatch, the responding officer filed an incident report.
SOUTHWICK
6:19 a.m.: motor vehicle stop, College Highway, a written warning was issued for a passing violation;
11:30 a.m.: fraud, Deer Run, a resident reports a fraudulent unemployment claim;
11:36 a.m.: fraud, Congamond Road, unemployment fraud reported;
11:48 a.m.: officer wanted, Depot Street, a resident reports an unknown male walked into her home yesterday and she has security video;
12:49 p.m.: fraud, Granville Road, a resident reports unemployment fraud;
2:22 p.m.: suspicious activity, Granville Road, a resident reports two males knocked on the door and appeared to be solicitors, police report no permits were issued and the parties could not be located;
2:44 p.m.: unemployment fraud, White Street;
2:47 p.m.: fire, College Highway and Nicholson Hill Road, Southwick Fire with mutual aid from Granby, Conn. responded to a dumpster fire.
