12:28 a.m.: suspicious person, Broad Street, a patrol officer reports he encountered a male party sleeping on a bench in a church parking lot, the officer reports that the man was found to be the subject of outstanding warrants issued by the Northampton and Belchertown district courts, Drew E. Broska, 59, of no fixed address in Northampton, was arrested on the two warrants;
1:37 a.m.: accident, City View Boulevard at Hillside Road, a caller reports a utility pole has been knocked down by a vehicle and wires are in the roadway, the responding officer reports there was nobody in the vehicle, the G&E was notified and dispatched a crew, Southwick police wee asked to check the address of record of the vehicle owner and report the man was found in their town, the owner acknowledged that he had been operating the vehicle when it struck the pole and said the was not injured;
6:38 a.m.: breaking and entering, Bullens Field, King Street Extension, a caller reports the concession stand at Bullens Field was broken into overnight, the responding officer reports a concrete part of a bench was used to smash in a wooden window, the officer reports there was reportedly no cash in the stand but the interior was ransacked and interior doors were forcibly opened;
9:24 a.m.: accident, Union Street, a caller reports a motorcyclist appeared to have been injured in a crash with a pickup truck, the responding officer reports the operator was transported to Baystate Medical Center and the motorcycle was transported to the police impound yard;
2:46 p.m.: larceny, Jaeger Drive, a resident came to the station to report mail was stolen from his porch, the responding officer reports the complainant said that a package which was reported to have been delivered on Sept. 18 was not received;
5:07 p.m.: animal complaint, Second Avenue, a resident brought to the animal shelter an older male golden retriever dog she said was found wandering at Hampden Village;
6:41 p.m.: disturbance, Lincoln Street, a caller reports a college related disturbance, the responding officers report about 70 college aged youths were dispersed and peace was restored;
8:08 p.m.: accident, Franklin Street at Elm Street, multiple callers report a traffic light standard was knocked down, the responding officer reports the traffic light was completely knocked down, the G&E was notified, the officer reports a car operated by a woman who was transporting a child crashed into the traffic standard and the woman was found to be intoxicated, Lucretia L. Raskauskas, 41, of 126 Union St., Apt. 16B, Westfield, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, child endangerment by OUI and a marked lawns violation, the car was towed to the police impound yard;
8:40 p.m.: assault, Franklin Street, a patrol officer reports he was flagged down by a pedestrian who said that she was assaulted moments earlier by a bicyclist, the woman told police that while she was capturing images of spiderwebs a passing cyclist had slapped her buttocks and groped her breasts, the woman said that the man had grabbed her keys from her and had struck her with them before he threw them at the spiderwebs, the officer reports that when he was passing he had seen a cyclist fitting the suspect’s description and a search of the area yielded the suspect near the Great River Bridge, the officer reports the suspect was resistant to speaking with the officer and struggled when he was taken into custody, the victim was taken to the site and identified the suspect as her assailant, Vadym Misiruk, 18, of 13 Madison St., Westfield, was arrested for indecent assault and battery on a person 14 years-of-age or older, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and disorderly conduct, during the booking process the man struck an officer with his elbow and was also charged with assault and battery on a police officer;
10:49 p.m.: disturbance, Lincoln Street, a caller reports a college related disturbance, the responding officers report a party was breaking up when they arrived and the hosts were cooperative.
