12:51 a.m.: noise complaint, Casimir Street, a caller complains that loud neighbors are disturbing the peace, a subsequent caller complained of “two armed trespassers on his property that are claiming to work for the police department and refusing to show him any identification”, the uniformed officers at the scene report the man was argumentative and uncooperative and eventually arrested for disorderly conduct whereupon he was taken into custody while kicking and screaming, William James Lea III, 32, of 15 Casimir St., Westfield, was arrested for two charges of assault and battery on a police officer and on a charge of disorderly conduct;
4:49 p.m.: fire, Carol Circle, a caller reports that he has exited his trailer due to smoke in his kitchen, dual response dispatched, the responding firefighters report that the man was not using a stove or other heat source, a thermal imaging camera was used and electrical heat tapes on piping under the trailer were found to have shorted and caused smoke.
