WESTFIELD

6:03 a.m.: burglary/breaking and entering, Southwick Road, dispatch reports that an alarm company detected a motion activation alarm at a Southwick Road business, the responding officer reports that there are signs of forced entry, the responding detective reports that there had been another attempted break-in at a similar business in West Springfield overnight;

12:09 p.m.: accident, East Main Street, a caller reports an accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in an East Main Street parking lot, the responding officer reports that a witness told him that a vehicle was pulling up to the front of the store when its front bumper struck a row of shopping carts which were pushed into a nearby male party, causing a minor injury, the responding ambulance reports that one person refused medical attention;

7:40 p.m.: motor vehicle violations, Noble Street, a patrol officer reports that he pulled over a motor vehicle, the officer reports that one male party was operating a motor vehicle without a license, the officer reports that the male began resisting and not cooperating with officers, the officer reports that Eric Robert LaFrance, 35, of 95 Honey Pot Road, Westfield was placed under arrest for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and resisting arrest.

SOUTHWICK

12 a.m.: suspicious vehicle, South Loomis Street, a resident reports coming home to find a dark sedan in the driveway that left immediately traveling southbound, Granby, Conn. Police were alerted.
