8:11 a.m.: animal complaint, North Road, a caller reports that two emus are loose on and around her property, the responding animal control officer reports that she spoke to the presumed owner of the emus, who said he would work to retrieve them;

1:22 p.m.: animal complaint, Western Avenue, a caller reports that a large brown and white dog with no tail is running loose and evading capture from multiple people, the responding animal control officer reports that an area search turned up negative;

7:42 p.m.: pedestrian/bicycle accident, Mechanic Street, multiple callers report that elderly male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and appears seriously injured, the responding medics report that one person was transported to Baystate Medical Center, dispatch reports that a tow truck was requested to remove the vehicle from the scene.



No major incidents were reported in Southwick on this date.
