9:43 a.m.: animal complaint, Bates Street, a caller reports taking custody of a white terrier-type dog with tags, the responding animal control officer reports the dog was transported to the municipal animal shelter;
11:43 a.m.: accident, Main Street at Noble Street, a caller reports a car versus bicycle crash, the responding officer reports the bicyclist complained of ankle pain and was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital;
5:05 p.m.: assault, Elm Street, a caller reports his brother was injured in a fight with a co-worker a short time earlier, the responding officer reports the victim said that a verbal dispute at the pizzeria where he works devolved into a physical altercation and his jaw was injured, the man was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital and a criminal complaint was filed;
5:14 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Springfield Road, a radar enforcement officer reports he determined that a vehicle was operating at a speed of 56 mph in a 40 mph zone and he stopped the car, the operator’s license was found to be suspended, William E. Ousley, 57, of 362 Hancock St., Springfield, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, a subsequent offense, during the booking process the man was found to be in possession of a pill for which he had no prescription and he was also charged with possession of a Class C drug;
7:27 p.m.: assault, Franklin Street, a hospital representative reports a person undergoing treatment had been assaulted, the responding officer reports that the man said that he had been involved in a fight with a co-worker at a pizzeria where he works, the incident was found to be unrelated to a previous fight in a different pizzeria, the incident remains under investigation;
8:01 p.m.: fireworks, Morgan Avenue, a caller reports fireworks, the responding officer reports no suspects were found.
