8:47 a.m.: larceny, Noble Street, a caller reports he had visitors the night before and has now found money to be missing, the responding officer reports the case is under investigation;
6:49 p.m.: accident, Franklin Street at Elm Street, an officer responding to an unrelated call reports an accident, the responding officer reports a two-car rear end accident, one party was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital, the officer reports the operator of the offending vehicle was found to be intoxicated, John C. Kane, 62, of 2 Art Ave., Cumberland, RI, was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor (a second offense) and for failure to yield, a dog in the vehicle was surrendered to the custody of a family member and the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
7:21 p.m.: fraud, East Main Street, a caller reports a customer has spent more than $1,000 on gift cards and appears to be speaking by phone with a scammer, the responding officer reports the person was convinced to abort his interaction and no money was lost.
