Westfield

6:27 a.m.: motor vehicle theft, North Elm Street, a caller reports that his vehicle was stolen from a North Elm Street gas station, the responding officer reports that the vehicle may have ended up in Chicopee, dispatch reports that video surveillance may have captured the incident;

10:59 a.m.: pedestrian accident, Broad Street, a caller reports that he was struck by a motor vehicle which then fled the scene, dispatch reports that all officers were advised to be on the lookout for the vehicle;

11:48 a.m.: animal complaint, East Mountain Road, an animal control officer reports that she brought a deceased brown tabby cat with a flea collar to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter;

3:21 p.m.: burglary/breaking and entering, Russell Road, a caller reports that he returned home to find his door kicked in and the lights on, dispatch reports that video surveillance may have captured the incident;

9:45 p.m.: motor vehicle accident, Pochassic Road, a caller reports that a motor vehicle struck a telephone pole and snapped it, the responding medics report that one person was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital, the responding officer reports that a tow truck was requested to remove the vehicle from the scene, dispatch reports that Westfield Gas & Electric was notified of the broken pole.
