WESTFIELD

1:22 a.m.: structure fire, Orange Street, multiple callers report a structure fire that started on the second floor at an Orange Street residence, a fire deputy reports that the fire was put out within 30 minutes of the original call, dispatch reports that the Department of Public Works would need to sand the road because it became frozen due to the water used to put out the fire, the responding officer reports that 10 birds and 2 geckos would need to be brought to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter to temporarily stay, the fire deputy reports that all personnel were clear from the scene at 1:49 p.m. and that there were no injuries;

11:02 a.m.: disturbance, Westfield Industrial Park Road, a caller from a Westfield Industrial Park Road cannabis store reports that a customer is causing a disturbance and eating marijuana inside the store, the responding officer reports that the male customer was upset at the quality of the marijuana being sold at the store and had been asked to leave numerous times by the caller, the officer reports that the male party was trespassed from the store and left without further incident;

2:06 p.m.: accident, Springdale Road, a caller reports that she witnessed a vehicle striking a tree, the caller reports that the female occupant is out of the vehicle, the responding officer reports that one person was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital, the officer reports that a tow truck was requested to remove the vehicle from the scene;

3:40 p.m.: accident, East Main street, multiple callers report a two motor vehicle accident with airbag deployment, the responding officer reports that there are fluids on the ground, the responding ambulances report that one person was transported to Baystate Medical Center and one person was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital, the officer reports that two tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the scene.

SOUTHWICK

9:54 a.m.: officer wanted, Depot Street, two parties requested assistance with recovering art, an officer recommended meeting at the station for the exchange;

12 p.m.: officer wanted, College Highway, a caller states a dispute at a drive-thru pharmacy window, an officer spoke with the involved parties and reports a problem with insurance billing for COVID testing, the issue was resolved before police arrival;

3:42 p.m.: officer wanted, Depot Street, a subject requested assistance obtaining his W-2 from a former employer, an officer advised it was a labor board issue.
