WESTFIELD

7:31 a.m.: accident, Falcon Drive, an airport official reports a vehicle crashed into a gate overnight and destroyed it, the responding officer reports both accident and incident reports were filed;
8:42 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Loomis Street, a patrol officer reports a motor vehicle operator’s license was found to have been revoked, a licensed driver cam to the scene to take custody of the vehicle;
10:01 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Mountain Road, a detail officer reports he observed a known person whose driver’s license is suspended operating a motor vehicle, a citation was issued;
10:23 a.m.: larceny Old Park Lane, a resident came to the station to report that money has been fraudulently withdrawn from his bank account, the responding officer reports an incident report was filed;
11:33 a.m.: larceny, East Main Street, a caller from an East Main Street supermarket report a review of security video showed a shoplifter stealing merchandise valued at about $200, the responding officer reports an incident report was filed;
2:02 p.m.: soliciting, Pontoosic Road at Stuart Place, a caller reports a door-to-door solicitor, the responding officer reports a representative of a pest control service was advised of the city ordinance which requires a permit to solicit business;
2:21 p.m.: identity fraud, Granville Road, a resident came to the station to report that an unemployment claim was fraudulently filed in her name, the responding officer reports an incident report was filed;
3:49 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, a traffic enforcement officer report an operator whose license has been suspended was found to be the subject of an active Connecticut warrant, John C. Gamache, 28, of 125 Main St., Apt. 103, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and as a fugitive from justice;
4:34 p.m.: fraud, Springfield Road, a caller from a Springfield Road department store reports a male party at the service desk is attempting to return merchandise which was stolen the day before, the responding officer reports the suspect had left prior to his arrival, a review of security video indicates the man may have been one of two persons involved in a previous shoplifting incident, store officials said that if either man returns to the store he will be served with a ‘No trespassing’ order;
4:54 p.m.: larceny, larceny, East Main Street, a caller from an East Main Street supermarket report a review of security video revealed two past shoplifting incidents, the responding officer reports he advised the employee that while calling for an immediate police response is appropriate if there is a possibility of detaining or identifying a suspect past incidents are more efficiently reported on-line;
10:39 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Southampton Road, a caller reports a person in a vehicle stopped at an ATV appears to be passed out, the responding officer reports he arrived to find a woman asleep behind the wheel, the vehicle’s registration was found to have been revoked for lack of insurance and it was towed to the police impound yard.

 

SOUTHWICK

11 a.m.: officer wanted, Depot Street, a resident came to the station inquiring about items being held for safe keeping and was referred to a family probate attorney;

2:24 p.m.: accident, Mort Vining Road, a vehicle hit a mailbox;

5:09 p.m.: harassment, Sheep Pasture Road, a resident reports his roommate is harassing him, an officer referred him to Westfield District Court;

9:05 p.m.: officer wanted, College Highway, a male with luggage at a gas station requested a ride to Pittsfield after arriving from Florida, an officer referred him to local hotels.
