6:42 a.m.: officer wanted, Union Street, a caller from a medical facility reports a woman’s purse was found in a bathroom, the resounding officer report that the purse found in a toilet did no contain valuables but appears to be a purse which was stolen in a recent burglary on Union Street;
4:13 p.m.: suspicious activity, Morris Street, a detective reports he was advised of a drone hovering near a resident’s window, the detective reports he investigated to find multiple instances in which a drone had been seen in the neighborhood hovering outside a window and apparently using the onboard camera to look inside, see story in the July 7 edition of The Westfield News;
6:54 p.m.: larceny, Main Street, a resident came to the station to report a theft, the responding officer reports the complainant said that she met a known person at a supermarket and he stole $40 from her, an incident report was filed.
