4:29 p.m.: structure fire, Hampden Street, a caller reports that there is smoke in the basement but they cannot find a fire, the responding deputy fire chief reports that there is a working fire in the basement, dispatch reports that an ambulance and fire truck responded to the scene, dispatch reports that West Springfield and Holyoke sent fire trucks to assist, dispatch reports that the fire was knocked down and personnel were cleared from the scene;

5:22 p.m.: breaking and entering, Sherwood Avenue, a caller reports that he went to a relative’s vacant house to discover the cellar door open and a car outback, the caller reports that he discovered someone in the cellar and chased them out, the responding officer reports that all officers were advised to be on the lookout for the suspect vehicle;

8:07 p.m.: animal complaint, Katharine Street, a caller reports that there is a loose domestic rabbit in the area, the responding animal control officer reports that the rabbit could not be located;

10:14 p.m.: accident, Montgomery Road, a caller reports that a motor vehicle struck a pole causing serious injuries, dispatch reports that one person was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital, the responding officer reports that one tow truck was requested to remove the vehicle from the scene, the officer reports that Westfield Gas & Electric responded to the scene to fix the utility pole.
