WESTFIELD
3:41 a.m.: larceny, Rogers Avenue, a caller reports she awoke to find her car missing, the responding officer reports the complainant said that the car was last seen about 8 p.m. Wednesday and she believes the keys were in it, the officer reports there had been no relevant calls nor were there any reports of attempts to repossess any vehicles, see 9:18 a.m. entry;
6:52 a.m.: larceny, Russellville Road, a caller reports she awoke to find her car missing from her driveway, the responding officer reports the victim said that the keys to the vehicle had been in her breezeway and are now missing, the caller said she did not hear anything amiss overnight;
9:02 a.m.: breaking and entering, Montgomery Road, a caller reports two vehicles were broken into overnight, the responding officer reports the complainant said that the vehicles had been unlocked and miscellaneous small items were stolen;
9:18 a.m.: recovered motor vehicle, Hartford, Conn., police report the recovery of a car reported to have been stolen in Westfield, the owner was notified;
10:11 a.m.: found property, Roosevelt Avenue, a caller reports finding a child’s backpack in his backyard, the responding officer reports the backpack was stored for safe keeping.
SOUTHWICK
4:45 a.m.: suspicious activity, Point Grove Road, a caller reports she was driven from her home by strange, wild “child-faced” creatures and wants an officer to follow her home, an officer followed her home without incident.
