Major crime and incident report

12:11 a.m.: assist other police department, Meadow Road, a patrol officer reports that officers should be on the lookout for a vehicle that fled from Massachusetts State Police during a traffic stop, officers report that they located the vehicle and would be searching for the operator on foot along a bike path, officers report that the vehicle’s operator was located and turned himself in and State Police took over the investigation;

1:49 p.m.: disturbance, Franklin Street, a caller from a Franklin Street store reports that a female party was seen shoving store merchandise into her shirt, the caller reports that the female party overheard someone reporting her to employees and began threatening people in the store, the responding officer reports that an area search turned up negative;

2:12 p.m.: animal complaint, Western Avenue, a caller reports that a large swarm of honeybees is flying on Western avenue, dispatch reports that a local apiary was contacted but the apiary informed dispatch that the bees could not be relocated until they swarmed onto an object;

5:17 p.m.: shoplifting, Russell Road, a caller from a Russell Road store reports that a female party entered the store without a mask and began yelling and screaming when she was asked by an employee to put one on, the caller reports that the female party took items she had not yet purchased and smashed them outside before leaving the area, the responding officer filed an incident report.


10:57 a.m.: officer wanted, Depot Street, a resident reports receiving scam calls from a person claiming to be from Amazon and another from a person claiming to be a Southwick Police officer;

1:56 p.m.: recreational violations, Feeding Hills Road, a resident reports that dirtbikes are being ridden on the pipeline;

4:55 p.m.: suspicious person, College Highway, a person was asking for rides in front of a church after taking a fall, Southwick Fire responded and transferred the person who had minor scrapes and complained of feeling dizzy;

11:13 p.m.: animal complaint, Sheep Pasture Road, a resident reports a bear damaging beehives.
