WESTFIELD

6:09 a.m.: structure fire, Day Avenue, an off-duty police officer reports that there is a possible residential structure fire on Day Avenue, the responding firefighters report that there is small damage to the roof, the firefighters report that a possible source of the flame has been found but navigating the home is difficult, the firefighters report that they can no longer see an active fire, the responding fire chief reports that the fire has been put out;

6:39 p.m.: structure fire, Russell Road, a caller reports that a fuse panel at his location has caught fire, the responding firefighters report that the caller was able to put the fire out before they arrived, the firefighters report that Westfield Gas and Electric arrived to inspect the fuse box;

7:01 p.m.: suspicious, Elm Street, a caller reports that he heard the sound of a woman or young man calling for help 3 times but did not see anything, the responding officer reports that an area search turned up negative;

7:31 p.m.: walk-in, Washington Street, a desk officer reports that a male party called and said he was on his way to the Westfield Police Headquarters to speak to police regarding a past incident, the responding officer reports that Michael S. Grabowiec, 35, of 2 Fowler Avenue was placed under arrest for a past incident of breaking and entering in the daytime to commit a felony, larceny of items valued less than $1,200, and larceny of items valued less than $1,200 under false pretenses.

SOUTHWICK

12:09 p.m.: officer wanted, Grove Street, a resident reports that unknown people are stealing her songs and music that she created;

12:28 p.m.: officer wanted, Hudson Drive, a caller reports youths hitting golf balls into the parking lot at Whalley Computer;

1:56 p.m.; accident, College Highway, a vehicle struck the drive-up window awning at a bank.
