Major crime and incident report

12:06 p.m.: traffic/motor vehicle complaint, Pontoosic Road, a patrol officer reports that he observed a tree truck and chipper that were set up to work while facing traffic the wrong way and did not have traffic cones set up, the officer reports that passing vehicles were forced into the wrong lane in order to pass the tree truck and chipper, the officer reports that the employees on site were not able to move the truck because they did not have the proper license, the officer reports that their boss arrived to move the truck and that he was informed he could be civilly liable if someone was to have been injured while trying to avoid his vehicle in the road;

3:50 p.m.: vandalism/damage, Southampton Road, a caller from a school on Southampton Road reports that a school employee’s vehicle windows were smashed, the caller reports that there is no security footage of the incident, the responding officer completed and incident report;

10:47 p.m.: incapacitated person, Main Street, a caller reports that an intoxicated male party tried to pull him from his vehicle and get inside, the responding officer reports that the male party was placed into protective custody.


9:19 a.m.: found property, College Highway, a landscaper found a purse in the bushes, items were secured and taken to the police station for the owner to pick up;

11:08 a.m.: fire, Klaus Anderson Road, a caller reports an unattended fire in a back yard, the responding fire personnel report all in order;

11:31 a.m.: officer wanted, Meadow Lane, a resident reports a false Publishers Clearing House call;

3:59 p.m.: animal complaint, Mort Vining Road, an animal bite was reported.
