9:26 a.m.: animal complaint, Westfield Animal Shelter, 178 Apremont Way, a man came to the shelter to surrender four orange tabby kittens found at the dump;
10:44 a.m.: vandalism, Franklin Avenue School, 22 Franklin Ave., the school principal reports a window has been broken, the responding officer reports no entry appeared to have been gained;
11:06 a.m.: animal complaint, Old Quarry Road, an animal control officer reports she took custody of an injured heron and transported the bird to the municipal animal shelter;
1:27 p.m.: animal complaint, Russellville Road, an animal control officer reports a resident took custody of a short haired tuxedo cat and brought it to the animal shelter.
