WESTFIELD

 

6:17 a.m.: accident, Lockhouse Road, a caller reports that he came across a female party that was just in a motor vehicle accident and is possibly injured, the responding officer reports that one person was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital, the officer reports that a tow truck was requested to remove the vehicle from the scene;

10:06 a.m.: animal complaint, Montgomery Road, an animal control officer reports that a good samaritan brought a male black lab type dog to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter after they found the dog running on Montgomery Road;

3:39 p.m.: larceny, East Silver Street, a caller from an East Silver Street grocery store reports that her mother’s phone and belongings were stolen when they were briefly left in a shopping cart, the responding officer filed an incident report;

10:44 p.m.: animal complaint, Char Drive, a caller reports that she located two loose german shepherd type dogs that each had collars but no tags, the caller reports that she attempted to drive them to the police station but one of the dogs began acting aggressive so she pulled over and let them out of the car where they waited patiently, the responding officer reports that he was able to safely transport the dogs to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter.

SOUTHWICK

11:04 a.m.: motor vehicle complaint, College Highway, a reporting party stated that an elderly woman at a gas station was yelling and asking to borrow a phone due to a road incident, a 9-1-1 call was received from a woman saying she was “almost killed” but no contact was made to her or her vehicle;

12:40 p.m.: violation, College Highway, a caller reports a vehicle leaving a gas station and occupants were consuming alcohol, officers report they could not locate the described vehicle with a New York plate;

3:30 p.m.: accident with personal injury, College Highway, a vehicle left the roadway, lightly struck a building, then another vehicle, the operator had an injured hand and air bag deployment, fire and EMS responded, the building inspector was called for minor damage to the structure;

5:25 p.m.: animal complaint, Sheep Pasture Road, a bobcat was struck and laying on the side of the road, the Department of Public Works was called for disposal;

7:14 p.m.: assist citizen, College Highway, a resident reports she typed the wrong address on an Amazon delivery instruction by mistake and Amazon delivered the package to an unknown address, police advised her to contact Amazon.
