Westfield
9:49 a.m.: warrant service, Union Street, an officer reports that a search warrant was being conducted on Union Street, the officers report that Jose Echevarria, 48, of 16 Fremont St., Westfield was placed under arrest for possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute;
2:37 p.m.: animal complaint, Hillside Road, a caller reports that she found a loose black and white male dog on Hillside Road, the responding animal control officer reports that she brought the dog to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter;
3:15 p.m.: animal complaint, North Elm Street, staff from a local animal clinic report that a male party dropped off a black domestic shorthair neutered male cat that he said he found next to the train tracks near where he worked, the responding animal control officer reports that the cat was brought to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter;
7:03 p.m.: structure fire, East Mountain Road, multiple callers report a structure fire, the responding deputy fire chief reports that Westfield Gas & Electric was requested to respond, dispatch reports that the fire departments from Holyoke and West Springfield responded to assist, dispatch reports that the Massachusetts State Police Fire Detective responded to the scene;
10:49 p.m.: vandalism/damage, Shaker Road, a caller reports that his house was egged from a moving vehicle, the responding officer reports that an area search turned up negative.
