6:16 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Mountain Road, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle traveling at an excessive speed and stopped the car, the operator’s license was found to have been suspended, Matthew Allen Gogal, 34, of 914 Western Ave., Westfield, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and for speeding in violation of special regulations, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
11:30 a.m.: breaking and entering, Main Street, an absentee landlord came to the station to report he found his vacant building had been entered and vandalized, the responding officer reports he noted the interior vandalism which had apparently been done by persons who have repeatedly been breaking into the vacant building;
1:27 p.m.: animal complaint, North Road, an animal control officer reports she responded to a report of a sick raccoon, the ACO reports the animal was transported to the animal shelter for observation;
4:26 p.m.: fraud, Bates Road, a resident came to the station to report that he has been contacted by a collection agency in reference to a credit account he did not open, the responding officer reports the resident said that multiple credit accounts have been opened in his name and he has been dunned for almost $2,000 by a collection agency;
7:45 p.m.: harassment, North Road, a caller reports harassment, the responding officer reports a teenaged girl told him she has been threatened via social media, the office reported his investigation is incomplete.
