6:45 a.m.: accident, Western Avenue, a caller reports an accident between a motor vehicle and a motorcycle, the caller reports that the motorcyclist is down with unknown injuries, the responding ambulance reports that one person was transported to Baystate Medical Center, the responding officer reports a tow truck was requested to remove the motorcycle from the scene;

7:19 .m.: animal complaint, Prospect Street, a caller reports that he found a loose long hair black and white cat and has it in his custody, the responding animal control officer reports that the cat was transported to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter;

9:48 a.m.: arrest, West Silver Street, dispatch reports that officers would attempt to make an arrest on a man with an active warrant on West Silver Street, the officers report that Kevin Anthony Jefferson, 54, of 94 Federal St., Springfield was placed under arrest due to an active warrant;

2:35 p.m.: accident, Broad Street, a patrol officer reports a motor vehicle accident with airbag deployment and vehicle fluids on the ground, the officer reports that he requested an ambulance and two tow trucks, the responding ambulance reports that one person refused medical attention.


9 a.m.: vehicle complaint, Woodland School, a motorist was warned of speeding after dropping a student at the elementary school;

12:34 p.m.: officer wanted, Depot Street, a resident reports the front license plate was removed from their vehicle;

12:35 p.m.: animal complaint, Sheep Pasture Road, a resident reports a bear observing goats in the yard, the bear moved along without assistance;

2:27 p.m.: larceny, Sheep Pasture Road, a large amount of alcohol was taken from the golf course;

3:02 p.m.: officer wanted, Feeding Hills Road, the rear window of a vehicle parked at the regional school was broken, no foul play was observed;

9:31 p.m.: animal complaint, South Longyard Road, two canines reported running by Woodland Ridge.
