WESTFIELD
6:53 a.m.: motor vehicle accident, East Mountain Road, a caller reports that a tractor trailer is stuck at the rail viaduct and creating traffic, the responding officer reports that the tractor trailer was able to turn around and get unstuck before his arrival;
10:16 a.m.: animal complaint, Western Avenue, a caller from a Western Avenue park reports that they would like the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter to take custody of a domestic goose that was released there several weeks before, the caller reports that a female party had released two domestic geese into the park, but that one had since died, the responding animal control officer reports that the goose is in custody and is being transported to the animal shelter.
SOUTHWICK
7:15 a.m.: Powder Mill Road, traffic monitoring;
9:15 a.m.: assist the Southwick Fire Department, Powder Mill Road, police assisted with fire drills at Powder Mill School;
11 a.m.: general service, Ahrend Circle, a resident reports receiving a scam social security phone call;
12:05 p.m.: general service, Powder Mill Road, a resident reports receiving scam unemployment paperwork;
12:48 p.m.: animal complaint, Feeding Hills Road, two barking dogs were reported, the dogs’ owner returned home and brought them indoors, a responding officer issued a verbal warning;
2:58 p.m.: summons, College Highway, an officer attempted to serve a summons but the recipient did not answer the door;
4:42 p.m.: scam, Rosewood Lane, a resident a continuous scam and loss of information;
5:22 p.m.: notification, Sheep Pasture Road, police were advised of a routine fire drill being conducted at the home;
8:17 p.m.: summons, College Highway, a summons was served in-hand.
