WESTFIELD

4:27 a.m.: well being check, Southampton Road, a caller from a Southampton Road hotel reports that he can hear an intoxicated sounding female party yelling and running in the hallway and a male party telling her to get back in the room, the responding officer reports that Dawud S. Harris, 35, of 119 Union St., Jersey City, NJ was placed under arrest on an active warrant;

9:12 a.m.: animal complaint, North Road, an Animal Control Officer reports that a female party brought a domestic short-haired brown tabby cat to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter after she trapped the cat on her North Road property;

12:07 p.m.: accident, Union Street, multiple callers report a three motor vehicle accident, the responding officer reports that one tow truck was requested to remove one vehicle from the scene, the officer reports that one party was provided a courtesy transport to a bus stop, no injuries were reported;

2:11 p.m.: larceny, Union Street, a caller reports that her son was pushed off a bicycle before the bike was stolen by the unknown party, the responding officer reports that he located the bicycle abandoned next to a building and returned it to the caller’s son;

3:54 p.m.: weather complaint, Mill Street, a caller reports that a tree fell and blocked both lanes of traffic, dispatch reports that the Department of Public Works was notified, the responding officer reports that the road would be blocked with cones until the DPW arrives to remove the tree, additional weather-related complaints were reported throughout the day on Loomis Street, Cross street, Dubois Street, Washington Street, Little River Road, Court Street, St. Paul Street, White Street, King Place, Bartlett Street, and Loomis Ridge;

4:12 p.m.: accident, Union Street, a caller reports a two motor vehicle accident with airbag deployment and possible injuries, the responding ambulance reports that one person refused medical attention and one person was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital, the responding officer reports that a tow truck was requested to remove one of the vehicles from the scene.

SOUTHWICK

2:56 a.m.: assist other police departments, Granville Road, a vehicle was reported stolen from Granville and last seen traveling east on Route 57, police were unable to find the vehicle in Southwick;

2:30 p.m.: fire, Lakemount Street, a caller reports concern over a neighbor’s outdoor burning, the fire department reports no permits were issued and the fire was extinguished prior to fire arrival;

11:17 p.m.: officer wanted, Point Grove Road, a caller stated an animal is chasing the dog in the yard.
