WESTFIELD

9:30 a.m.: animal complaint, Southwick Road, a caller reports that there is a loose gray and black labrador retriever running in and out of the roadway and was seen running onto Dug Road, the responding Animal Control Officer reports that she could not locate the dog;

12:31 p.m.: motor vehicle violations, Broad Street, a patrol officer reports that he stopped a vehicle that had attempted to go through an intersection and ended up blocking traffic and causing gridlock, the officer reports that he told the female operator that she should not drive through an intersection until her vehicle can safely make it all the way across, even if the light is green;

12:54 p.m.: animal complaint, Bates Road, a male party reports that he found a black and brown terrier type dog on Bates Road and brought it to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter;

4:34 p.m.: accident, Mill Street, a caller reports that she was involved in a two motor vehicle accident and that smoke is coming from her vehicle, the responding officer reports that there are fluids on the ground from at least on of the vehicles, the officer reports that a tow truck was requested to remove one of the vehicles from the scene, the responding ambulance reports that two people refused medical attention;

5:29 p.m.: accident, Southampton Road, a state police trooper reports a two motor vehicle accident, the responding Westfield police officer reports that two tow trucks were requested to remove both vehicles from the scene, the responding ambulance reports that one person refused medical attention;

9:32 p.m.: accident, Springfield Road, a caller reports a two motor vehicle accident with airbag deployment and fluids on the ground, the responding officer reports that two tow trucks were requested to remove both vehicles from the scene, the responding ambulance reports that all parties refused medical attention.

SOUTHWICK

12:14 a.m.: officer wanted, Eagle Street, a resident called regarding having her children removed from their father and was advised to contact family court;

10:56 a.m.: restraining order service, Depot Street, an officer served a restraining order via phone and advised the recipient of a Springfield court hearing, the officer reports the citizen told him he would not attend court, when asked if he understood the order the officer reports the man said he did and said “but I can still harass her boyfriend,” when asked if he would come to the station to pick up a copy of the order, the recipients aid he would not and the police should “throw it away”;

11:25 a.m.: officer wanted, Eagle Street, a resident requests assistance regarding her adult children that are not being returned home and she wants to report them missing, an officer advised her that they were not missing and she should contact family court;

2:02 p.m.: suspicious vehicle, College Highway, a green car with Rhode Island plates was reported in the Town Hall parking lot for a long period of time, the driver had business with the town.
