WESTFIELD

 

10:38 a.m.: hit and run accident, Elm Street, a caller reports that a traffic light was down in the road after having possibly been struck by a tractor trailer, the responding officer reports that Westfield Gas and Electric was notified of the broken traffic light, the officer reports that he could not locate the tractor trailer in question;

3:43 p.m.: violation of city ordinance, Paul Street, a caller reports that two vehicles are “doing donuts,” the responding officer reports that he did not witness the vehicles doing donuts but that the drivers admitted to it themselves, the officer reports that he gave a verbal warning to the vehicle operators;

11:03 p.m.: accident, Springdale Road, a caller reports that a single vehicle struck multiple trash cans and a mailbox, causing smoke to come from the vehicle’s engine, the responding officer reports that Chelsea Grimsley, 27, of 50 Southampton Road, Westfield was arrested for disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a police officer, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle, the officer reports that a tow truck was requested to remove the vehicle from the scene.

SOUTHWICK

10:15 a.m.: motor vehicle complaint, North Longyard Road, a concerned motorist advised police of a vehicle driving erratically, police found the vehicle parked in a driveway;

10:56 a.m.: accident, College Highway, a concerned motorist reports seeing a vehicle leave the roadway, police found the vehicle and the operator slid and was waiting for a tow;

6:53 p.m.: officer wanted, Feeding Hills Road, a caller states he has an unwanted guest living at his residence, he was referred to housing court.
