9:31 a.m: animal complaint, Beveridge Blvd., an animal control officer reports she successfully trapped a cat and transported it to the animal shelter;
8:04 p.m.: well being check, Gillette Avenue, a caller requests a check on a friend, the responding officer reports the subject was well but a person at the residence was found to be the subject of a warrant issued by the Springfield District Court, Kevin L. Dixon, 32 of 1 Gillette Ave., Westfield, was arrested on the warrant;
8:40 p.m.: fire, East Mountain Road, a caller reports an electrical transformer on a utility pole “looked like fireworks” when it blew, the responding firefighters report no fire was found, the responding G&E crew identified the transformer and dealt with the problem.
