9:07 a.m.: animal complaint, Cardinal Lane, a caller reports there is an injured rabbit in her driveway, the responding animal control officer reports the rabbit was transported to the municipal animal shelter;
11:13 a.m.: assist citizen, Allen Avenue, a caller reports finding live ammunition in her garage, the responding officer reports the caller was cleaning out the garage and found what appears to be “a live high explosive munition”, the State Police bomb squad was notified and responded, a trooper took custody of an inert bazooka round;
5:24 p.m.: animal complaint, Harrison Avenue, a caller reports a white pit bull dog with brown spots is running loose and behaving aggressively, the responding officer reports the dog was taken to the station where an animal control office took custody of the dog and transported it to the Westfield Animal Shelter;
6:11 p.m.: animal complaint, Pilgrim Drive, a caller repairs she has coaxed a stray red and tan pit bull mix dog into her car and will meet an animal control officer, the responding ACO reports the dog was transported to the animal shelter.
