10:39 a.m.: disabled vehicle, East Main Street, multiple callers report that there is a disabled vehicle on East Main Street, the responding officer reports that a tow truck was requested to remove the vehicle from the scene and the operator was given a courtesy transport;
2:01 p.m.: disturbance, Feeding Hills Road, a caller reports that a male party is causing a disturbance because he is unable to visit his wife at the nursing home, the caller reports that normal visiting hours are not in effect due to COVID-19, the responding officer reports that the male party refused to wear a face covering properly and did not have an appointment to visit the home for two more days;
2:52 p.m.: shoplifting, Franklin Street, a caller reports that a male party just shoplifted cans of food from her store, the responding officer reports that a male party matching the description given by the caller was located but did ot appear to have the items on him, the officer reports that the man admitted to having been in the store but denied that he stole anything;
3:25 p.m.: accident, Airport Industrial Park Road, a caller reports that a motor vehicle struck a tree, the responding officer reports that one tow truck was requested to remove the vehicle from the scene, the responding ambulance reports that one person refused medical attention;
6:28 p.m.: arrest, Washington Street, a desk officer reports that John Paul Coppola Jr, 41, of 3-9 South Main St., Middletown, Conn., turned himself in for arrest at the Westfield Police Headquarters because of an active warrant.
3:09 a.m.: larceny, South Loomis Street, a Be On the Lookout was issued for a stolen vehicle.
