2:53 p.m.: fire, Laurel Ave., a caller reports a structure fire, the responding firefighters report a shed was fully involved, the firefighters first protected the nearby residence and then the shed fire was extinguished, firefighters found that a fire in a fire pit had spread to wooden pallets scattered in the area and then spread to the shed;
9:22 a.m.: arrest, Evergreen Drive, a caller reports the location of the subject of an outstanding warrant, the responding officer reports Philip Joseph Johnson, 27, of 20 Evergreen Drive, Westfield, was arrested on a warrant issued by Westfield District Court;
1:14 p.m.: larceny, Progress Ave., a caller reporters wooden pallets were stolen from his business, the caller does not require a formal report;
4:52 p.m.: accident, Franklin Street at Madison Street, a caller reports an accident with injuries involving a motorcycle, the responding officer reports the cyclist passed a vehicle operating in front of him on the right, the vehicle had stopped to allow a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction to turn, the turning vehicle struck the passing motorcycle, the motorcyclist suffered injuries and was transported to Baystate Medical Center;
7:23 p.m.: larceny, Stop & Shop, 57 Main St., a store security employee reports a shoplifting incident, the responding officer reports a review of security video allowed the identification of the suspect.
